The Challenge. Homebase Abroad, a luxury villa rental company that curates once in a lifetime trips to Italy, was looking to update their brand and partner with a marketing company to support their business and manage all their marketing initiatives.

Our Solution. Competition within the travel industry is intense. The category includes not only other rental specialists but online marketing providers like airbnb, hotels and villa owners themselves. We quickly realized Homebase Abroad needed to define a niche category where place (the villa) and time (the activities) overlap and complex trips could be successfully planned through warm, personal service.  We produced a stationery suite completed with a range of envelopes, notecards, folders and labels to provide the company with a suite of assets for their travel documents. Homebase Abroad’s emails we produce have an average open rate of 31% compared with the industry average of 15%. Photography quickly became a critical brand element. We found and worked with a photographer in Italy to take images of each rental property. We also built an image library of more than 20,000 images that can all be accessed through a browser plug in allowing easy access by the client, PR firm and marketing teams. To ensure Homebase Abroad was meeting (or exceeding) its quarterly sales goals, we provided scheduling, analytics support and market research services that allowed us to quickly make adjustments to the calendar and content.
